Application of high-resolution processing in seismic data based on an improved synchrosqueezing transform

This study proposes a high-resolution processing technique for seismic data based on the improved synchrosqueezing transform (SST). The SST rearranges complex spectrum of wavelet along frequency axis. However, energy is not concentrated in position with faster change rate. To overcome these problems, proposed method first transformed signal into an analytical one via Hilbert transformation and then determined phase correction value (x0(t)) before after transformation. was achieved using instantaneous attribute (ω(t)) specific (ω0) selected as dominant input to adjust rate falls close zero, which can improve time–frequency resolution compression essence this only adjusts transformation, without affecting inverse expression SST. one- two-dimensional model results show that better identify distribution characteristics signals their focusing effect domain. shows good prospects application gas reservoir detection identification.
